Big Island Tiki Ladies
Sharing aloha spirits where
every hour is happy hour!
The Tiki Culture has a very interesting background. It started with one man who created a culture in California from his world travels and imagination. Although the tiki culture dwindled in the 70's, it was rekindled again in Hawaii. It is a history lesson of the creative power of imagination that became a reality and still lives today in Hawaii, especially in our lives. We are both passionate about keeping the tiki spirit alive and enjoy sharing this passion in our food, drink and lifestyles. Recommended reading: Tiki Culture Wikipedia and a good book: Smuggler's Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum, and the Cult of Tiki. This page shares some of our tiki lifestyle and farm life in Hawaii.
Monika has really embraced the tiki culture with food, drink and the whole farm life in a short period of time and has been an inspiration to me. Monika was featured in the At Home Magazine Oct. 2019 Edition, page 11; check out the article online and see photos below.
